My name is Vicki and I have been conducting celebration of marriages for many years. I have conducted ceremonies from over 400+ guests to 4 guests so I have had experience of most types of wedding. I also conduct civil partnership ceremonies, renewal of vows and naming ceremonies for children. I have also worked as a Radio Presenter, so as you would expect I have a very clear speaking voice. Your big day is a very special occasion and I am a hopeless romantic - so let's get working together to make your dream marriage celebration ceremony come true!
In this country, it is conventional to get married in a church, register office or an approved licenced venue i.e., hotel, barn or golf club.
This approach can be forgotten as you can in fact have a celebration of your marriage anywhere you like. You will be dressed for the occasion in your groom’s suit and your bride’s dress or in whatever makes you feel comfortable.
You can have a themed wedding if you wish. You are not tied into using traditional vows as the whole ceremony will be custom-made for you. It is quite usual for couples to tell me of how they first met and why they have chosen a special date for their wedding day. If you have a special family tradition then this can also be incorporated into your marriage celebration ceremony.
You can choose the words you wish to say to each other, choose your own bespoke music and everyone can celebrate and share in your happy day. If you have a beloved pet or pets, they can also be involved in the ceremony too. During our first meeting, I will try to find out as much as I can about you both as a couple and this will assist me in writing your marriage celebration ceremony.
Therefore, you can be certain that the wedding celebration you have always dreamed of, you will ultimately get. With regards to the legalities, you may have already given notice of marriage at your local register office for a civil wedding ceremony.
The minimum notice period you need to give is 29 days prior to your wedding day, but you have up to 12 months in which to marry, otherwise you would need to give notice again. In order for you to become legally married, you would then need to book a register office marriage which means you would have a registrar conduct and register your marriage and you sign the legal paperwork. Once this ceremony has been performed, you will then receive your marriage schedule and are legally married.
